3 Most Unique And Amazing Elements In Milky Way :

 Hey!!

Almost all of you have thought about some stars in the night sky shining brightly. You must have been curious about some celestial bodies in the solar system and even the universe. But have you ever really researched about them?

Hello. I am Samruddhi Suhagir, a space enthusiast and a proud member of Versatile Youth Empowerment Program. Space is something out of the world. And I want that most of the people must know about this incredible thing.

So what are you waiting for. Check out the whole blog and become a space enthusiast.

3 Most Unique And Amazing Elements In Milky Way :

1) Sirius :

Sirius is the brightest star in the night sky which can be seen at night easily from India. It looks so bright in the night sky that it can develop curiosity in anyone's mind. Its name is derived from a Greek word 'Seirios' which means 'glowing' or 'scorching'. Sirius is a spectroscopic binary star. It is a binary of Sirius-A and Sirius-B.

Comparison :-

* The radius of Sun is 695700  km. While the radius of Sirius-A  is 1.76×696000 km. And that of Sirius-B is 5,843 km.

Age :-

* The age of Sirius is approximately 230 million years old.

•It is calculated that Sirius A will have completely exhausted the store of hydrogen at its core within a billion (10^9) years of its formation, and will then evolve away from the main sequence. It will pass through a red giant stage and eventually become a white dwarf.

Temperature :-

* The temperature of Sirius is about 18000°F. This gives it it's bluish tinge.

2) Ganymede :

Ganymede is the largest and most massive natural satellite of Jupiter as well as the largest in the Solar System. It is also called as Jupiter III. It's magnetic field is probably created by convection within its liquid iron core, also created by Jupiter's tidal force.

Ganymede's discovery is credited by Galileo Galilei. He observed it in 1910 as the third of the Galilean moons, the first group of objects discovered orbiting another planet.

Size :-

* Ganymede is larger than Mercury and Pluto.

•Its radius is 2,631 km.

Age :-

•Ganymede is about 4.5 billion years old about the same age as Jupiter.

Temperature :-

•Ganymede's temperature is much colder than earth with daytime surface temperature from -297 to -171°F.

3) Phobos :

Phobos is the innermost and larger of two natural satellites of Mars, the other being Deimos. It is named after Phobos, the Greek god of fear and panic, who is son of Ares(Mars) and the twin brother of Deimos.

Phobos is a small, irregularly shaped object. It has its different shape because it's gravitational pull is less due to its small size. Many other small bodies in the universe also have irregular shapes because of the same reason.

Size :-

* The radius of Phobos is just 11 km.

Age :-

* Age of Phobos is 4.5 billion years old.

Temperature :-

•Surface temperature of Phobos range from about 25°F on the sunlit side to -170°F on the shadowed side.
